At the Tuesday evening meeting of the Jackson County Planning Commission, two new construction applications were approved and passed on to the County Commission for final approval. These two projects were the application from SunSouth LLC which entered a request for a 117,063 sq. ft. building with adjoining parking areas. The facility would be constructed on Highway 90 East, across from Mercer’s Automotive.
The second development order request was from Friendship Baptist Church for a 12,170 sq. ft. Christian Life Center to be located about four miles northeast of Malone on Friendship Church Road. This project was also approved and passed on to the Commissioners for action.
