Meeting of March 10, at Jim’s Buffet and Grill

This week’s program was provided by member Jack Porterfield. Jack presented an interesting power point travel log of a recent trip he took via cruise ship down the coast of South America, to the Falkland Islands, and around the Cape of Good Hope. His pictures provided a revealing description of the life, culture, and geography of the many South American nations he visited. Although it was mid-summer when he visited the southern tip of the continent, it was apparent that part of the world is cold in the summer and unbelievable in the winter. Meanwhile, places such as Buenos Aires and Uruguay were shown to be world class resorts.
