Marianna Schools dominate
Area middle and high schools competed in Chipola College’s Brain Bowl Invitational on Nov. 6. In the high school division, Marianna placed first, with Bainbridge High finishing second.
Paul Kelson of Marianna finished first in the individual competition. Other top individuals are: Erick Juarez of Bainbridge (second); Annemarie Nichols of Graceville (third); Dylan Faircloth of Bainbridge (fourth-tie); Lawson Mozley of Malone (fourth-tie); Katelyn Miller of Marianna (fifth); Cameron Bailey of Holmes County (sixth); Connor Renihan of Graceville (seventh); Anne Reynolds of Bainbridge (eighth); Michael Janik of Holmes County (ninth); and Sammy Muniz of Marianna (tenth).
In the middle school division Marianna Middle C Team placed first. Marianna Middle A finished second, and Bainbridge Middle A finished third.
Adrian Alvarez of Marianna finished first in the middle school individual competition. Other top individuals are: Bill Braxton of Marianna (second); Jakob Thorne of Bainbridge (third); Ty Jones of Bainbridge (fourth); Tristen Allen of Bainbridge (fifth-tie); Belle Chin of Marianna (fifth-tie); Brianna McCaffery of Marianna (sixth); Quest Brown of Hutto (seventh); Trey Walker of Marianna (eighth); Courtney Harrol of Malone (ninth); and Steve Spence of Marianna (tenth).
