Graceville Lions to Sponsor Downtown Concert

The Graceville Lions Club is sponsoring the Ivey Brothers III Homecoming Concert on Saturday, May 1st, 2010 from 5-9 P.M. This is a community concert presented to the Graceville area and started by the Graceville Lions Club in 2008. There is no admission charge but donations are taken at the door and all proceeds go to the Graceville Lions Club Ivey Brothers Eyeglass Fund.

The Graceville Fire Department will close off Brown Street at the Gathering at 5 P.M. and the Pilgrim Bluegrass Band of the Florida Panhandle will entertain in the first set. The next entertainment will be the Graceville High School Prodigy and Graceville Illusions show groups. The Country Cloggers will be performing on Brown Street between the musical sets and the award winning Ivey Brothers will come on stage next.

After a break, the Pilgrim Bluegrass Band will perform again and then the Ivey Brothers will close out the concert in the last performance of the evening. Street Vendors are invited to participate and there is no charge for set up and registration. Vendors may call 850-263-3777 for set up arrangements and assignments. Over 200 people are expected and vendors are an important part of the occasion. The Graceville Lions Club was chartered in 1937 and is now celebrating 73 years of service to the Graceville area.

The Lions Club promotes educational scholarships and eye care for the needy. The Graceville Lions Club furnishes eye glasses to the needy in the Graceville area through their budget and the Ivey Brothers Eyeglass Fund.
